Individual Counseling provides one-on-one therapeutic support in a safe, confidential, and supportive environment. This service is designed to help individuals explore personal challenges, strengthen emotional awareness, and develop healthy coping strategies that support overall well-being and daily functioning.
Counseling sessions are collaborative and person-centered, honoring each individual’s lived
experience, cultural background, strengths, and personal goals. Our approach is grounded in
respect, empathy, and understanding, creating space for individuals to feel heard, supported,
and empowered throughout the counseling process.
Individual Counseling focuses on building insight, improving emotional regulation, strengthening
problem-solving skills, and supporting personal growth across important areas of life, including
relationships, work, school, and community involvement. Services are tailored to the individual’s
needs and paced to promote comfort, engagement, and meaningful progress.
This service may support individuals experiencing stress, anxiety, depression, trauma-related
concerns, life transitions, or challenges related to mood, behavior, or relationships. Counseling
may include supportive counseling, psychoeducation, skill development, and goal-focused
interventions, based on individual needs and preferences.
Individual Counseling may be provided on its own or in combination with other services offered
by Total Life Cares, such as Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR), Community Psychiatric
Supportive Treatment (CPST), Medication Management, Family Counseling, or Support and
Counseling Groups, depending on individual needs and goals
Services are provided by licensed or provisionally licensed mental health professionals and are
delivered in accordance with professional standards, ethical guidelines, and applicable
regulations.
